Let's see how this will go.

----------

Name: Coleman, Rorie
Family:
Mother: Coleman, Mora
Father: Coleman, Jonan
Brother: Coleman, Tony (Younger)
Race: Superhuman
DOB: February 7th, 1987 (02/07/1987)
Current Age: 26
Gender: Female
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 129 lbs.
Hometown: Kinder Town, North Dakota, USA.

Physical Description:
Rorie is of average height, with a thin but wiry, solid built. She has long, slightly unruly, dirty gold-ish blonde hair. She is also fairly light skinned and has eyes that can range from dark gray to black depending on the light. There is always dark rings under her eyes, ever present even on a good day. Rorie will wear anything, but she is usually seen wearing either jean capris or jean pants, along with some kind of tank top. She will most likely always be wearing her green jacket and black armband. She is also always carrying a notepad and pen or pencil in her back pocket, and maybe a few stray bones to practice with.

Super Natural Ability:
Main - Mutation Inducement: "The ability to cause mutations to the self or to other living beings by altering them genetically."

With Mutation Inducement Rorie has mastered the ability to cause mutations within herself. Many of the mutations range from minor changes in appearance to giving herself new powers. For others she could cause deformation or mutate diseases. She is only limited to mutating herself successfully. Successfully meaning giving an adaptation or new skill without harming or killing the user. Trying to alter the DNA of another living being is a crap shoot, which usually ends horribly. The more drastic the change, the more likely it will fail.

One may think she can modify herself or others to give any power through mutation, but this is false. She is limited by the function and structure of DNA. She can't give herself or someone any power at will. Her or the recipient's DNA must be able to allow the alteration for it to become a possibility. So far, the only power that Rorie has been able to induce in herself is Bone Constructs. When forced to mutate any other kind of ability that her DNA does not accept she risks causing a random and unintended mutation, harmful or harmless depending on the change. This also applies to other recipients subjected to her power.

When she uses the power on herself or another, pain is felt through the whole body of the one being mutated. More specifically, an intense pain is felt in a certain area being affected. An example could be Rorie attempting to alter a gene that changes eye color. Pain will be felt through the whole body, but most of the pain will be focused in the area of and around the eyes. When she mutates someone else Rorie has no problems.

For the ability to work on another, she needs to be within a couple feet or touching the recipient.

Even if Mutation Inducement is her first and main ability, she refuses to use it willy nilly. The extreme pain caused by the process isn't worth it to her.

Sub - Bone Constructs: "The ability to create tools, objects, weapons, armor, and even appendages out of bone."

Rorie is limited to what she can make without her own bones breaking. The most she can make is a small blade on her arm or multiple razors all over her arms and the back of her hands. Other times she is able to make small hand tools to use, these tools being made with her own bones, or (if she's lucky) other small bones. She is also able to create random sized patches of bone across her body. This gives her some protection, but not much. There are times when Rorie will have problems retracting her own bones back completely. She hides the bone as best she can until later, then try retracting again.

Weaknesses:
- Suffers from chronic insomnia, so she gets barely any sleep. It was manageable as a child, but once she was taken to the labs for testing the stress level went up. The stress caused her to lose more and more sleep. Because of her lack of sleep, she jumps from being pretty easy to annoy and anger to being too tired to care. She has to focus twice as hard to learn new things and process information in a correct fashion. When she does get sleep, she's out like the light far longer than a normal person, maybe 12 to 15 hours if she is left to wake up on her own.
- Claustrophobic. She can survive being in a small room or space with herself and maybe one other person (after taking many calming breathes) . Though, she will start freaking out when the closed in space that is sealed off for the most part, or there are too many people in one room at a time.
- Is prone to find the faults and hidden evils within others. There is always a catch or motive for every act. Sometimes not even people close to her are safe from being criticized. This is a weakness for her personality, since it can put strain on any relationship she has with someone.
- She has some memory problems, nothing serious, but it does get her in trouble once in awhile.
- Every time she is forced to mutate herself or to use her bones for any situation, she has to be careful. Mutating decreases the defense of her immune system. Retracting her bones without caution as to what has ended up on them allows for foreign substances to enter her body easier. Because of these things she becomes more susceptible to illness.

Notes:
- Carries around a small notebook and pen to write stuff down. Mostly short descriptions of people along with their names, then some places and addresses. She does this to help her remember things.

Personality:

Rorie is a very honest young woman, just because she's too tired to try to lie. Always has been.

Easily annoyed.

She is pretty indifferent about normal humans. She avoids speaking to them as much as she can, and usually only considers other superhumans as 'people'. (Human children are probably the only exception because of her soft spot for them). She was not like this before being taken to the Test Centers.

She's neutral about other people (superhumans). Only dealing with them when needed and at a minimal. There are only a few exceptions to this rule. One being when she wants to find the motives behind a person's actions. Another when the person is a friend or ally.

She sometimes has a tendency to over think things. Depending on what she's thinking of, this can either confuse her greatly or make her start to act a bit panicky.

She has a bit of a morbid sense of humor.

She's a skeptic, so she has to question and disagrees with things often.

History:
Rorie lived in the small town of Kinder, North Dakota with her parents and younger brother. She lived a normal life in the small town; going to school, partaking in school and holiday events, having friends to hang out with, visiting the nearby big city with her family, and so on.

1993 - She became aware of her power over mutations when she was six-years old after just watched a kid's movie about magic, adventure and other things a fantasy movie had. Once the movie was over she wanted to attempt to transform like the hero had in the movie. She was told she could try, but she wouldn't be able to do so. Being a stubborn and determined child, she closed her eyes and concentrated hard. In the end, she triggered her powers to awake. She managed to change her eye color, giving the irises random patches of colors, while causing herself great pain and send herself into a fit of crying. Her parents saw what she had done after the pain was gone and she was calmed down. Surprised and a bit frightened that Rorie had somehow managed to change her appearance, they kept her home from school. They had no choice but to convince Rorie to change herself back on her own after a few days of brainstorming what to do. After the incident they told Rorie to never tell anyone what had happened and to never attempt the stunt again. Confused, she just agreed.

1998 - As the years went by, Rorie had not spoken of her powers, even being careful to bring up the subject even to her parents and brother. Though, she did experiment with her powers whenever she had free time and was not being watched. This usually being when she couldn't sleep at night. She would test her powers on plants in the house or ones she brought in herself. Though, every time she had messed with a plant in one way or another, the ended up dying within the next week or two. Each plant showed different changes in growth, coloring, and other mutations. Some plants grew faster, some flowers changed colors, others somehow bloomed when they weren't meant to have flowers. She got caught by her parents once plants that couldn't have flowers started having blooms showed up. She was forbidden from using her powers, being explained that if someone found what she could do they didn't know what would happen, and that it was safer to keep it a secret. She was around eleven years old when she was caught, and was only frightened a bit by her parents' warning.

1999 - When she was twelve, Rorie attempted to experiment on herself, but this backfired on her and she stopped when she realized it hurt so much. She only did it twice. Once to change her skin color on her stomach, then once to mutate back. She never tried to test on herself ever again.

2000 - The next year, Rorie had tried once more to mutate some plants she gotten herself. Though, without her knowledge, she was being watched by her little brother for a short time. Before he could even make himself known that he found out, they were interrupted to go to school. Once there, he shared about his new discovery to his friends, and soon the word reached to the wrong person in town.

2001 - One year later, being at the age of fourteen, Rorie was just starting her freshman year at high school. Rorie and her younger brother Tony (Tony being 7 at the time) were on their way home on the bus, just finishing their first day of school. As soon as they got off the bus to walk to their house, they noticed a pair of men and and a pair of women at the door of their house. They had been talking to their father, who was standing outside with them in front of the door. As soon as one of the unknown men made a move to go towards the kids, their father yelled for them to run. Rorie grabbed Tony and ran, but they didn't get far as one of the men caught up to them. He only grabbed Rorie, leaving Tony to try and grab for his sister while hitting at the man. Rorie's father had gotten into a fight with the second man, her mother having come out of the house to be stopped by one of the women, and Rorie was carried off to a car. She was tossed in the back, being put into a seat with a seat belt she couldn't undo without a lock, and was taken away from her family. Those strange people turned out to be DSR workers and had come to take her off to the Test Centers. She never found out how they had located and found out about her.

No less than 6 months later, Tony was brought in and tested on along with Rorie. Rorie was both glad and terrified that he was here. She was glad because she wasn't alone, but more so terrified that now he was also taken away from home and put into those god-forsaken labs. He wasn't a superhuman, but the scientists had a theory that he may also grow to acquire super powers. Something about mutations in a generation of kids being genetic. Rorie had only overheard parts of the conversation between the scientists concerning that. Unfortunately, she also caught that if Tony failed to be a superhuman, he would be used as a subject to be mutated by Rorie. She had failed to be able to successfully mutate other living subjects, but maybe she would be able to mutate someone with a similar genetic structure.

2001 to 2007 - During the many years of testing, Rorie had learned to use her mutations on herself more effectively, but became more resentful and resistant to the scientists as the years went by. She was forced to mutate herself a couple of times. One mutation ended up giving her her the ability of Bone Construction. This just called for even more and different tests, which just made her even more rebellious. She was also forced to mutate her younger brother once he was proven not to be a superhuman. She fought and refused multiple times, but she was threatened with his termination if she didn't. The mutation was successful, but this is only because Rorie made sure it was not anything big and took extra attention to make sure the mutation was stable. She wasn't sure what she did, but she had hoped that whatever she changed inside her brother would not hurt him. I broke her heart to do it and to see her brother in pain because of her.

During the short times that Rorie and Tony were place together in test rooms, he would tell her that he was sorry and that it was his fault for them being here. He had said he discovered Rorie playing with the plants one night, then accidentally slipped up when telling a friend about it. Rorie was not mad though. She could not believe his little slip would cause them to be in this situation.

2008 - The labs were destroyed, Rorie had escaped with many of the other captured superhumans. During the escape she had been separated from Tony, and had no idea where he could have gone or possibly went. She then made her way across the nearby cities and towns, taking rests and whatever kind of sleep she could manage in parks along with odd jobs she could find. As she did this she made it her first priority to find her brother, along with finding out anything about her parents.

She made it back home, found herself back in her old home town, hoping that her family was still there and that maybe Tony had the same idea to come. Once finding her old home empty and showing signs of no life she walked to her neighbor's house, surprising them and seeing them acting fearful of her. She was mad at the reaction, but questioned about her parents. She found out about her mother's death by grief and illness in 2003, and her father dying as a protestor for the superhumans in 2006. She then asked for the neighbors to not mention she was here. They agreed.

She went back to her old house, taking rest there for a day, until she was found by some DSR lackeys yet again. Someone in her home town had contacted them. She outran them for a couple of hours, but was soon caught to be taken to the Reserve. This was not a fun time for DSR workers when putting a registration number on her.

Most Recently - Rorie had been wondering around the Reserve, at one point finding herself in the Refuge. She only stayed long enough to eat a meal and to check if her brother was at the Refuge. When she found no indication that he was there or ever was, she left. After more traveling through the Reserve she found out about and joined the Revolution Alliance. She figured she needed a place to stay and a way to get back at the DSR and government for what they did, maybe scare a few people that thought they could keep superhumans locked up like normal animals. She still internally panics from time to time if she should have kept looking for Tony, or if it was really the best to stay in one place.

That's my little brother. He can be the most annoying little thing on the entire planet, but even if he is, he's still a great kid. Always so excited and cheerful about stuff. I haven't seen him since we got separated during the escape from the labs... If he's out there, he's probably doing fine. I really hope he's still out there...

:bulletpurple: Jonan Coleman
My father, he was the big farmer of the family. He was a really great man, never seemed to stop moving or working... It was a shock when I found out he was gone. He was in some protests and got killed. He wasn't someone who ever agreed with protesting because of how a lot had ended badly in the past, but I guess once he had a reason to be in one he took it.

:bulletpurple: Mora Coleman
My mother, she was the greatest. Her side of the family was always sick with something or other, she was no exception. I wasn't too surprised when I heard she died from an illness, but it doesn't hurt any less. She always got better even if she got sick... I remember that she used to show my brother and I some magic tricks all the time.

Little girl from the Refuge, right? She was something. Had a little dead squirrel thing with her when we met. Nice enough girl from what I know. Not bothered by dead animals, it seems, so points for her. She helped me to find a few bigger bones to try my craft on. More points. Though, she really shouldn't be wondering around outside on her own. I mean really, I found her face down in the snow one time after falling out of a tree.

:bulletyellow: Jettison Smith
Oh yeah, the kid with the bird wings and the lion-esque tail. Now there's a first meeting that's hard to forget. Nailed me in the head with a rock. Not to mention the thing we found while looking around. Anyways, he's alright enough.

:bulletyellow: 13
I don't think I would put my life on the line for him, but since he is my leader in a way, I will help him. He's also alright, but slightly annoying at times. He seemed slightly over concerned about my health even though we just met. That must just be the kind of person he is.

:bulletyellow: Natalie McNathy
From my perspective, she likes to be friendly and talk. Pretty nice from the first impression. I think we might be able to get along well enough.

:bulletyellow::bulletwhite: Lukas Smith
I've seen him around enough. Don't know much about him or what to make of him. I don't think the one small interaction with him counts for much, but it's something.

RP SAMPLE
Rorie silently sat on a large rock on top of a hill overlooking a small town just off in the distance, but was not too far from where she was stationed. She had her legs crossed, elbows propped up on her knees and hands held together. Her her hands held her head up from under her chin and she quietly looked over the town below. A few things were running threw her mind all at once, all jumbled together in a mess that she wouldn't be able to put into words, or at least into words that would make any shred of sense. She muttered a few things to herself before shifting her head to rest her forehead against her hands.
